Enhance your video post-production skills and explore the essential tools and techniques needed to create video projects. Best practices will be emphasized to ensure that you are editing, producing, and exporting your video correctly the first time.

Foundational Skills in Video Editing

Learn to edit video using three-point editing and enhance your production by adding transitions, as well as incorporating audio and video effects, including color correction and grading using Lumetri Color.

 

Export for Web and Social Media

Learn how to import video, make edits, and export your media to a variety of platforms with confidence, ensuring that your production is played back and seen the way you intended.

 
 

Create Engaging Graphics and Titles

Learn how to create titles, credits, animations, and incorporate different image formats, such as Illustrator and Photoshop files, into your video.

 
 

Audio Mastering and Sweetening for Video

The class will also cover editing audio tracks, including importing background music and foley, and adjusting them to appropriate levels.

  • Get comfortable with the interface and workspaces
  • Learn about basic video post production nomenclature and editing terminology
  • Create new projects and import footage
  • Edit your first rough cut with the three point editing workflow
  • Add utility effects to correct image composition
  • Polish edits with the Ripple and Rolling Edit tool
  • Learn basic time changes using Time/Duration and the Rate Stretch tool
  • Create titles using the Title Tool, Photoshop and Illustrator files
  • Manipulate audio with level, editors and effects
  • Use bins to organize media and create storyboards
  • Learn basic animation techniques
  • Add sophisticated color correction with the Lumetri Color panel
  • Fix audio issues with Adobe Audition
  • Merge interview audio with video clips
  • Render with the Adobe Media Encoder
